I’ve babysat babies quite a few times (I’d say over 78 times). But I’ve never brought them to town with me I always ether watch them at their parents house or my house. So ant tips? I’m going to be watching her for 8 hours and 5 or more of the hours are going to be in town.

I was one of only twenty-five students who got selected to go on a trip to Spain with a Spanish club in 2010. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I really want to go, but it costs about $3000. I’m looking into getting a weekend job and my parents are willing to pay a small portion, but I was wondering if there were any other ways for a high school student to make money. Any tips would be appreciated!

So we need to explain to our kids, “These are the new rules starting now, and if you break the rule, there will be a consequence.” And then we need to follow through with the consequence. If our children are misbehaving, it is because we are allowing them to misbehave. We can modify that by showing them that good choices get good consequences and bad choices get bad consequences.

Babysitting – meeting the kids and parents today, any tips?

My older sister has been babysitting for two children (boy and a girl, aged somewhere between 5 and 9) and now she can no longer babysit them, so I am going to meet the parents and kids tonight. The parents will be there the whole time, and my sister said they will pay me, even tonight. I’m almost 14.

Any tips? What to bring, what to say (to both the parents and kids), what to do?
